Dorraj

Professor Manochehr Dorraj teaches courses in comparative politics and international relations. He also offers a summer seminar course in Budapest, Prague and Vienna titled, "Political Life in Hungary and Central Europe". He is interested in Third World and Middle Eastern development issues. He works on both the political-economic and the political-cultural aspects of development.

His publications include: "The Changing Political Economy of the Third World" (Boulder, CO: Lynne Reinner, 1995),  "Middle East at the Crossroads" (Lanham, VA: University Press of America, 1999).

Professor Dorraj is a frequent commentator on global and Middle Eastern affairs, and has granted numerous interviews to the media and has written many editorial op-eds for newspapers. He is also active on lecture circuits.  He is fluent in Persian, Arabic, Urdu and Turkish.
