Eric W. Cox
Eric Cox, Assistant Professor, is the Director of Model United Nations and Associate Director of Civic Literacy. He teaches classes about international politics, international organizations, conflict, and civic literacy. He has made several conference and panel presentations on the resolution of international conflicts, the role of simulations in furthering the learning process, and the current situation in the Middle East. His publications include several entries in the Governments of the World encyclopedia, background guides for National Model United Nations, and several editorials in the Waco-Tribune Herald and the Roanoke Times. His current research projects include the process of terminating long lasting conflicts, the effect of US military interventions on democratization, and the role of diplomacy at the United Nations.
His responsibilities as Associate Director of Civic Literacy include overseeing Civic Literacy internships in coordination with the Assistant Director of Civic Literacy and participating in the teaching of POSC 20144, Civic Literacy.
At TCU, Dr. Cox has also served on the Successful Graduation 2004 Committee, and currently serves on the Common Reading Steering Committee.
